Friends!
Beginnings are always poignant because, while we celebrate them, we also fondly remember what came before. Allow me first to thank our Immediate Past District Governor Prescy Yulo, and congratulate her on an amazing/magical year of service to our district, our clubs, and our communities. She has exemplified Service Above Self and shepherded us to great heights in many aspects, particularly through her advocacy for maternal health and child care. Her first 1000 Days program and anti-teenage pregnancy campaigns have laid a solid foundation for future programs in these areas. For all this and her indefatigable work ethic, a grateful district thanks you.
RI PRESIDENT-ELECT'S REMARKS
Good afternoon, Rotary!
Life comes at you fast.
I was at my district conference when I heard the news that I had been selected as the Rotary president. I was sitting next to a dear friend and received an email on my phone - but I wasn't allowed to tell anyone, so I just sat there, silently, for a few minutes.
District 3830 is actively involved in various humanitarian and community development projects aligned with Rotary’s seven areas of focus.
Promoting peace and conflict resolution through dialogue, training, and support for vulnerable communities.
Fighting diseases like polio, malaria, and HIV/AIDS through vaccination, health education, and medical care access.
Ensuring communities have access to clean water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education.
Reducing maternal and child mortality by improving access to essential medical services and prenatal care.
Increasing literacy and education access, especially for girls and vulnerable populations, through teacher training and school support.
Supporting entrepreneurship, job training, and access to financial services to lift communities out of poverty.
Addressing environmental issues through conservation, sustainability efforts, and education on climate action.
OUR MISSION
Since its inception, Rotary District has dedicated itself to fostering community development and enhancing lives through various impactful initiatives. Our journey began with a group of passionate volunteers committed to making a difference. Over the years, we have successfully launched numerous environmental projects and disaster relief efforts that have positively affected many lives.
