MESSAGE

Firstly, I would like to congratulate and express my appreciation to Immediate Past District Governor Reginald “Reggie” Nolido for the milestones achieved by the district under his leadership, ensuring that the foundation for the continued growth and success of the district remains stronger than ever. His smart, circumspect and purposeful servant-leadership have truly inspired Rotarians to unite for good. Equally important are his clear and well thought-of recommendations to move the district forward.

This Rotary Year 2026-2027, RI President Olayinka Babalola has posed the challenge to all of us Rotarians to “Create Lasting Impact”. Making clubs more welcoming and inclusive. Doing service projects that continue to change lives long after we have turned them over to our communities. Transforming ourselves with our experiences of doing good in the world.

We have responded to this challenge by preparing the entire District 3830 Rotarians – the district leaders; the club presidents, officers and members; and our Rotaractors and Interactors who will be leaders of our future - with learning events that focused on personal transformation, strengthening clubs so they can effectively do what really matters, planning better, more purposeful, and aligned with the Rotary Action Plan and the district’s directions. It is now time for putting these learnings into practice.

Rest assured, all these have been designed in such a way as to make our journey Simple, Happy and Easy. It becomes simple if sustainable systems are clear and manageable. Appreciated members become happy and engaged. Removing redundancies and simplifying reporting makes it easy for clubs to work.

Rotary does not have to be complicated as at its core Rotary is fellowship and service. I would like to thank the District Learning Team led by Rotary Academy Executive Director CP Liza Manalo-Mapagu and District Trainer PDG Sonny Coloma, all the district committee chairs, facilitators, secretariat and hosts for all the pre-term events for their conscientious efforts of putting together the district’s learning agenda, materials, resources and guidance to help ensure well-trained, focused, committed and united leadership at all levels in the district.

Thank you to for the organizers of the District Handover 2026, the Handover Team of committed Rotarians for their hard work in ensuring a memorable event, bringing together Rotarians to collectively hope and work for sustaining the district legacies and achieving better outcomes this Rotary year in fellowship and service.

Finally, thank you for the support and love from the members of my club the Rotary Club of Makati EDSA, all Rotarians, my family, friends, sponsors, donors and most especially Past District Gov. Edgardo “Boyet” Limon who has been my mentor, friend, a source of strength and a loving partner and husband.
