Dear friends,
Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on your District 3830 Handover Ceremonies. Your tireless dedication to Service Above Self is what makes Rotary unique, and it makes me proud to be a Rotary member alongside you.
During this District 3830 Handover Ceremonies, I encourage you to aspire to be better than your best. While we traditionally celebrate clubs that raise the most funds, attract the most members, or run the biggest projects, the healthiest competition is not between clubs at all. It is between ourselves.
It is between our past and our present, what we have already accomplished and what we have yet to achieve.
We often share how Rotary inspires lasting change in communities, but we rarely discuss how it transforms us. Consider how Rotary has changed your life and helped you be better than your best, and share your story widely. If we can do that, we will engage current members, expand our reach, forge exciting connections with like-minded partners, and solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges.
